Archive — Altherr Désile Park

The Archive offers a broader and more chronological view of the work of Altherr Désile Park— extending beyond the current studio's founding in 2019 to include projects developed under earlier studio names: Lievore Altherr Molina, Lievore Altherr, Studio Altherr and Lievore + Altherr Désile Park. The projects collected here were chosen because the partners who now form Altherr Désile Park — Jeannette Altherr, Delphine Désile and Dennis Park — were particularly involved in or leading them, even where the work was signed under a different studio name. The Archive covers work from 2001 to the present.

This is not an exhaustive catalogue. It is a curated record — selective enough to be meaningful, broad enough to give a genuine sense of the range, depth and continuity of a practice that spans more than three decades. Taken together, these projects trace a long trajectory: from early furniture and product design collaborations with internationally recognised manufacturers to more recent work in creative direction, art direction, colour design and spatial installations.

The diversity of the work here reflects the breadth of the practice. Projects range across product design, furniture, lighting, bathroom design, textiles and rugs, spatial and ephemeral architecture, creative direction, art direction and visual communication. Clients have included manufacturers across Spain, Italy, Germany, Croatia, the United States and beyond — from emerging independent brands to long-established international companies. Some collaborations have been brief and focused; others have extended over many years and multiple product families.

What connects them — across decades, disciplines and studio names — is a consistent sensibility: a humanist approach rooted in material research, cultural context and a deep care for detail, colour and the relationship between an object and the people who live with it. The Archive is also a record of a particular design culture: Barcelona-based, internationally oriented, and shaped by the conviction that design is communication — not self-fulfilment.
