A FAMILY OF ARCHETYPES
Tempo emerged from the idea of distilling diverse lighting archetypes into a single, coherent system. We began by studying forms from different cultures and regions, identifying the ones with the strongest architectural and emotional presence. From there, we reduced these archetypes to their most essential expression and reinterpreted them through a vocabulary of shared fixing elements—from hanging versions to a variety of articulated arms—so they could coexist within one flexible structure.
The challenge was to let the system function as a unified whole while preserving the individuality of each archetype, creating a family in which every member maintains its own character. This pursuit of balance shaped the entire collection. Themes of lightness, and the interplay between opacity, translucence, and transparency, became central, guiding both the material choices and the atmospheres we wanted each piece to evoke.

LIGHT IN THREE VOICES
Three glass diffusers translate the core idea to different lighting effects. One recalls a classic bulb with reflector, directing its glow downward. Another softens the traditional opaline globe, blending ambient light with a gentle focus below. The third distills angular opaline lamps into a minimal form that emits a diffuse, atmospheric light.
Each glass form responds differently to spatial needs and adapts easily to pendants or various arm configurations. Together with the glass shades, the system offers nuanced possibilities for shaping atmosphere and light functions.
