Moto × Burgbad

COLOR LAYERS
Moto for Burgbad is a bathroom furniture collection that draws inspiration from Josef Albers’ color compositions, where layers overlap to create subtle depth and relief. Its controlled composition merges practical function and aesthetic clarity, offering a calm yet distinctive presence.
The collection invites users to explore Burgbad’s new color palette, showing how color can shape mood and extend a home’s interior language into the bathroom—even in compact spaces in which the furniture is the only defining element.

COLOR AND ARCHITECTURE
Bathrooms are, by nature, highly functional and highly reduced spaces. Beyond the architectural materials — tile, stone, plaster — there is often only the furniture to create a mood. This is precisely what drew us to the challenge: achieving a lot with a little. A calm, controlled piece with generous storage and practical functions that works equally well in a small guest bathroom or a generous double-width configuration, complementing the surrounding materials while contributing something of its own to the atmosphere.
Color, we found, is particularly powerful in this context — and Burgbad's newly revised palette offered the right moment to explore its full potential. We worked through the full spectrum of possibilities: from abstract, all-white compositions to combinations of pastels, graphic brights, warm spice tones and wood. For both the product design and the art direction, the central question was always the same — how can color be used, and how far can that conversation go?

ATTENTIVE DETAILS
With Moto, we wanted storage and light to feel like a single integrated thought rather than two separate considerations. An open compartment with indirect LED illumination improves visibility across the furniture and the room, adding a layer of warmth that shifts the piece from purely functional to genuinely atmospheric. An integrated E-box further consolidates practical needs within the composition, keeping surfaces clean and the overall reading uncluttered.
Ease of use extends beyond daily interaction into installation itself. Moto is designed to be assembled and installed by a single operator — a decision that reflects the same logic as the design: efficiency, clarity, and nothing superfluous. Every detail, from the way light is integrated to the way the collection goes together, follows the same discipline that defines the whole.
